Does Closing My Credit Card Hurt Me? (Read Situation)?
Im an 18 year old college student who has had a credit card for 8 months. I charge a few things every month and have paid it on time every month with no problems. I recently found a credit card that goes through Speedway that racks up rewards based alot on how much gas you buy. Long story short. I rack up about 10x as many rewards in a normal month. How much is it going to hurt my credit by closing this card?
Basically I know its a good account and it looks good but i feel the risk of identity theft and other things increases more and more as technology continues to improve.
Thanks for your help!
